Program Coordinator (Temporary)

Department: Legal Programs
Location: El Paso, TX

Position Summary:

KIND seeks a Program Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting KINDís program to provide legal services to children in the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement and placed at the Ft. Bliss Emergency Intake Site in El Paso, TX, through administrative, programming and operations support duties. 

This is a temporary position with a duration of up to three months. Full benefits are associated with this position.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate daily schedules for group Know-Your-Rights orientations, legal screenings, and office hours consultations.
  • Assist with overall oversight of data entry and database management; maintain data report and tracking systems to identify cases to be prioritized for services.
  • Maintain productive relationships with multiple stakeholders for purposes of coordinating service delivery.
  • Monitor office equipment and supply needs and manage on-site supply requisition requests.
  • Conduct group Know Your Rights presentations and individual consultations to children.
  • Staff office phone line and respond to childrenís legal appointment requests.
  • Retrieve deliveries and print orders off-site.
  • Provide other administrative and program support duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Advanced Spanish fluency
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with office organization or administration
  • Demonstrated commitment to working on improving and/or understanding issues impacting immigrants in the United States or in another region
  • Experience working with children or youth or other vulnerable populations preferred
  • Facility with Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly and effectively in writing in Spanish and in English
  • Highly motivated and able to operate independently
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume workload with fast-changing deadlines and priorities
  • Strong cultural competency and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Ability to work within an office environment, have regular interaction via telephone, teleconference, IM and email with KINDís team and have in-person meetings with clients.

Salary Range: $39,920 - $49,900 dependent on experience.
